*Beyoncé’s Instagram account has been flooded with comments from fans attempting to draw her into the ongoing controversy surrounding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ trafficking scandal.
Beyoncé’s posts have become a hotbed for speculation, with many users demanding answers or insinuating ties between the two music moguls. On Sept. 30, Bey posted several photos from her SirDavis whiskey event in Paris, where she donned a platinum blonde wig and wore a plunging Gucci dress with gold platform heels, Page Six reports. In the post’s comments, one person wrote, “She’s trying to keep her skin white to reduce her sentence.”
Another person noted the similarities between Bey’s style choice and that of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, writing, “Cosplaying a dead woman is insane.”
As Vibe reports, users are questioning whether the superstar is aware of any illegal activities within the music industry, specifically as it relates to Diddy. “We want the truth,” wrote one user, while another added, “Selling your soul really wasn’t worth it was it? What goes up MUST come down!”
One commenter posted, “I can’t wait to see Jay-Z go down for everyone he’s wronged.”
Combs is currently behind bars following his arrest in New York City earlier this month, facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution. Beyoncé nor Jay-Z are mentioned in the 14-page indictment.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that Beyoncé launched an American whisky brand called SirDavis in partnership with Moët Hennessy, part of the French luxury giant LVMH.
In a press release, the brand describes SirDavis as a unique take on whisky with its “bespoke recipe,” unconventional maturation process, and distinctive flavor profile inspired by Japanese and Scottish traditions, AfroTech reports.
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” said Beyoncé, per the press release.
“When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy,” she added.
“In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you — welcome, SirDavis,” said Bey.
